The Mortgage Concierge is the culmination of the fifteen-year vision of James McDonald, to revolutionize the level of service, integrity, and expertise in the mortgage industry.

A graduate of St. Edward's University, James began his professional career in the wholesale division of IndyMac Bank, where he quickly grew to be one of the top producers in the region. Utilizing a relationship-centered strategy, James located and nurtured strong personal connections with mortgage brokers throughout the Puget Sound area. He prioritized educating brokers on loan offerings and company systems and procedures, and obtained loan transactions for the company through this consistent contact. He was also honored with a position on the esteemed BDM Advisory Board, where he helped mentor new business development managers on how to become successful within the company. 


Distinguishing himself as a unique, strategic asset, James was soon tasked with expanding the full the Pacific Northwest division of the company. He grew to be the #1 producer in the region, and one of the top ten producers in the country, closing over $1.2 billion in loans during his six-year tenure. 

While he enjoyed the success of the wholesale world, James soon grew interested in becoming an expert in the retail market as well, due to an underlying passion for providing elevated service and education to his clients. He made the transition to the personal side of lending, and rapidly established his reputation as a passionate client-advocate in the lending world. 

James believes a mortgage is more than a simple transaction, but a long term investment tool. It should be carefully crafted, researched, and diligently compared with the other financial elements in a client's life, including tax planning, other investments, and legacy planning. To accomplish this, James works strategically with a client's other service professionals to ensure that his client's entire financial plan works in a single, seamlessly cohesive unit, protected by a vetted board of advisors for each client. 

And the service level doesn't end with single transaction, as is most often the case. The relationship is carried on in perpetuity, for James wants all clients to know that he remains their partner, every step of their financial journey. 

In his personal life, James is an avid photographer, film lover, nature enthusiast, and fervent NFL and NBA fan. He is a dedicated advocate for children and animals, and enjoys donating and volunteering his time to help those most needing protection.
